When you use Drawbie, you may provide the following information:
Account Information:
- Email address (for account creation and login)

- Password (stored locally in encrypted form)
- Account creation date
User-Generated Content:
- Drawings created using the drawing tools
- Completed coloring projects
- Canvas data (stroke information from PencilKit)
- Artwork titles and metadata
- Images in PNG format
Usage Information:
- Number of views on your artwork
- Number of likes on your artwork
- Creation dates for drawings and colorings
- Onboarding completion status
1.2 Information We Do NOT Collect
We want to be clear about what we do NOT collect:
- We do NOT collect real names or physical addresses
- We do NOT collect phone numbers
- We do NOT collect precise geolocation data
- We do NOT collect payment information (the App is free)
- We do NOT collect photos or videos from your device (except what you create in-app)
- We do NOT use tracking cookies or analytics
- We do NOT collect browsing history
- We do NOT collect device identifiers for advertising purposes

1.3 Automatically Collected Information
Device Information: The App may access standard iOS device information necessary for functionality:
- iOS version (to ensure compatibility)
- Device type (iPhone/iPad)

Important: This information is stored locally on your device and is NOT transmitted to our servers or any third parties.

2.1 Core Functionality
- Account Management: To create and manage your account, authenticate your login, and maintain your user profile
- Content Creation: To save and display your drawings and colorings in your personal gallery
- App Features: To enable drawing tools, coloring features, and canvas functionality

- Discovery: To display your artwork in the discovery feed (if you choose to share)
- Engagement: To track views and likes on artwork
- Attribution: To display artist usernames on shared artwork

3. Data Storage and Security
3.1 Local Storage Only
All your data is stored locally on your device using iOS UserDefaults and local file storage. We do NOT currently operate backend servers or cloud storage for user data.
This means:
- Your account information stays on your device
- Your drawings and colorings are saved to your device only
- Your preferences and settings are stored locally
- No data is transmitted to external servers or databases
3.2 Data Security Measures
We implement reasonable security measures to protect your locally stored data:
- Password Protection: User passwords are stored securely using iOS best practices
- App Sandboxing: iOS sandbox security isolates app data from other apps
- No Network Transmission: Since data is local, there's no risk of interception during transmission
- Access Controls: Only the App can access its stored data
3.3 Your Responsibility
While we take security seriously, you are responsible for:
- Keeping your device secure with a passcode/biometric lock
- Not sharing your account credentials with others
- Keeping your device's iOS software up to date
- Understanding that if your device is lost, stolen, or accessed by others, your locally stored data may be compromised
3.4 Data Backups
If you use iCloud or iTunes backup for your device, your Drawbie data may be included in those backups according to Apple's backup policies. Please review Apple's privacy policy for information about how backup data is handled.
4. Children's Privacy (COPPA Compliance)
4.1 Our Commitment
We are committed to complying with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). We take special care to protect the privacy of children under 13 years of age.
4.2 Information Collected from Children
For users under 13, we collect only the following information:
- Email address (for account purposes)
- Username (for attribution on artwork)
- User-generated content (drawings and colorings)
- Persistent identifiers (stored locally for app functionality)
Important: We collect this information ONLY to support the internal operations of the App. We do NOT use children's information for behavioral advertising or to create user profiles for marketing purposes.
4.3 Parental Consent
We require verifiable parental consent before collecting personal information from children under 13. By allowing your child to create an account, parents affirm that they have reviewed this Privacy Policy and consent to the collection and use of their child's information as described.
4.4 No Sharing of Children's Information
We do NOT:
- Share children's personal information with third parties (except as required by law)
- Enable children to make their personal contact information publicly available
- Collect more information than reasonably necessary to participate in app activities

5.1 What We Share
Your Artwork: If you create drawings or colorings in the App, your artwork and associated username may be visible to other users in the discovery feed.
What's Visible:
- Your artwork (drawings and colorings)
- Your username
- Creation date
- View and like counts
What's NOT Visible:
- Your email address
- Your password
- Your device information
- Any personal information beyond your username
5.2 What We Do NOT Share
We do NOT sell, rent, or share your personal information with:
- Advertisers
- Marketing companies
- Data brokers
- Social media platforms
- Analytics companies
- Third-party services (except as required by law)
6. Data Retention
Since all data is stored locally on your device, we do not control data retention on external servers. Your data remains on your device until:
- You manually delete individual drawings or colorings
- You delete your account through the App
- You uninstall the App from your device
- You erase your device
7. Your Rights and Choices
You have the right to:
- Access Your Data: View your account information and artwork in the app
- Modify Your Data: Edit account information, change passwords, update artwork
- Delete Your Data: Delete individual items or your entire account
- Control Sharing: Choose what artwork to save and share

Parents and legal guardians of children under 13 have the right to:
- Review the personal information collected from their child
- Request deletion of their child's personal information
- Refuse permission for further collection or use of their child's information

The App does NOT include:

9.3 Apple PencilKit
The App uses Apple's PencilKit framework for drawing functionality. PencilKit is a first-party Apple framework and does not send data to third parties.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last Updated" date and notify users through the App if possible. Your continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy.
